The Dominican Republic will support a program to develop baseball in neighbour country Haiti. The website Haiti Libre reported on a meeting between a delegation led by Seymour Coffy, Chairman of the International Baseball Academy, for Haiti, and a Dominican delegation led by National Olympic Commitee President Luis Mejía Oviedo. The Ambassador of Haiti to the Dominican Republic Idalbert Pierre Jean promised to “fully support” the initiative.
