FRANCE – The Rouen Huskies opened defense of their French Division I crown on Sunday with a pair of convincing wins over St. Just Duffy Ducks.

Esteban Prioul (1-0) tossed five scoreless innings and Leone Cespedes homered to lead the Huskies to a 11-1 win in the first game of a doubleheader. The 12-time French champion took advantage of 19 free passes by opposing pitchers to complete the sweep with a lopsided 17-2 triumph.

In other action, the Senart Templiers swept two games against Paris University Club. Jonathan Mottay (1-0) worked seven strong frames in a 7-2 victory in the opening game, while Lorian Andro (1-0) and Jordan Marques combined on a four-hitter as the Templiers rolled to an easy 10-0 win.
